  • Performance Criteria (Chapter 10):

Fragments or residues falling to the floor shall not continue to burn for more than an average of 2 seconds.

The average weight loss of the specimens shall be 40% or less.

No individual specimen’s mass loss should deviate by more than 3 standard deviations from the mean.

If a retest is required, the second set of specimens must conform to these conditions.
