Overview of Polyester Taffeta
Polyester Taffeta, also known as Taffeta, is made from polyester or imitation silk. It is a fully polyester thin fabric woven from polyester filament. Polyester taffeta has a shiny appearance and a smooth handfeel. Due to its excellent properties, it can be used as both fabric and lining, though it is currently more commonly used as lining.
Polyester taffeta is available in specifications such as 190T, 210T, and 230T, and is usually sold as finished fabric in the market. After undergoing post-processing such as dyeing, printing, calendaring, and coating, taffeta possesses qualities such as lightweight, durable, easy to wash, and cost-effective, making it widely used as lining and auxiliary material in various clothing and bags. The fabric has a smooth handfeel, does not stick to the skin, is elastic, has a bright gloss, vibrant colors, and is wrinkle-resistant, with a shrinkage rate of less than 5%. The yarn has uniform thickness and is not easy to break. When burned, the fiber gives off an unusual odor.
