Flame Retardant Test Report of  Viscose/Spandex Blend Fabric after 5 Washes

Introduction:

Fire retardant viscose/spandex blend fabric refers to a fabric composed of flame retardant viscose fibers and spandex fibers. It is known for its softness, comfort, excellent elasticity, and permanent flame retardancy. It is widely used in casual wear, sportswear, underwear, swimwear, and other fields. Flame retardant fabrics play a crucial role in many industries, especially in situations that require high safety standards. However, the flame retardant performance and quality of the fabric may be affected after multiple washes. Therefore, it is important to understand the flame retardant performance and durability of the fabric after washing. This test aims to evaluate the flame retardant performance and durability of BEGOODTEX viscose/spandex blend fabric after 5 washes.

Method:

We selected samples of BEGOODTEX viscose/spandex blend fabric and subjected them to 5 wash cycles. Subsequently, we conducted experimental tests on the fabric samples before and after washing. Firstly, we performed a standard combustion test to evaluate the flame retardant performance of the fabric. Then, we conducted a detailed assessment of the fabric's appearance, including flame retardancy, changes in textile structure, and surface texture.

Conclusion:

Based on the experimental tests, we found that BEGOODTEX viscose/spandex blend fabric maintained good flame retardant performance after 5 washes. The burning speed and burning time of the fabric showed no significant changes compared to before washing. The fabric's tensile strength, tear strength, and abrasion resistance also showed no significant decrease. This indicates that the fabric can maintain its flame retardant characteristics even after long-term use and multiple washes. These results are of significant guidance for the manufacturing of flame retardant clothing and other flame retardant products.
