Suede Fabric Overview
Suede is made from muntjac deer hide, which is thicker and denser than sheepskin, making it ideal for producing premium suede leather. This fabric can be natural or synthetic. The focus here is on flame-retardant polyester synthetic suede, which closely resembles natural suede in texture and appearance. After special finishing, it becomes fine, soft, and plush, offering greater durability and easier maintenance. Widely used in fashion, footwear, toys, and furniture, synthetic suede is made from ultra-fine fibers that provide softness, drape, stability, breathability, and resistance to insects and corrosion.
Suede Fabric Categories
Woven suede is divided into warp and weft types. Weft suede features a soft, delicate texture with a width of 150 cm, weighing around 200 grams per square meter. It is ideal for home textiles and footwear, offering strong velvety thickness. Warp suede is commonly used for sofa covers, decorative fabrics, and women’s clothing, and can also be used for curtains after printing. These products are mainly exported and widely used.
Suede Fabric Characteristics
Unique Style
Ultra-fine fibers give the fabric a soft sheen with a full, delicate texture and excellent drape, creating a flowing and elegant look.
Superior Comfort
The dense fiber gaps improve moisture absorption and insulation, while the ultra-fine fibers provide a soft, smooth feel for enhanced tactile and physiological comfort.
Waterproof and Breathability
The micro-porous structure allows for excellent waterproofing and breathability by controlling fiber gaps.
Exceptional Stain Removal
Ultra-fine fibers provide strong cleaning power while protecting items from damage, making it ideal for high-performance cleaning.
