BEGOODTEX Permanent Flame Retardant Blackout Fabric

BEGOODTEX Permanent Flame Retardant Blackout Fabric is a high-performance material that offers exceptional blackout and flame-retardant properties. Its unique construction features two layers of intrinsic flame-retardant polyester yarn with a layer of black shading silk in the middle, providing a multi-functional solution.

This fabric is not only soft and comfortable but also affordable and available in a wide variety of styles. Thanks to its permanent flame-retardant characteristics, it creates a comfortable and quiet environment while meeting stringent fire safety standards.

Key Features and Advantages

  • 95% Blackout Rate: The fabric’s three-layer structure—two outer layers of flame-retardant polyester and a central layer of black silk—delivers an impressive 95% blackout effect, effectively blocking most light.
  • Permanent Flame Retardancy: The fabric’s fire-resistant properties are achieved by combining BEGOODTEX permanent flame-retardant yarn with black shading silk. This process transforms a standard blackout fabric into a fire-resistant one that is soft to the touch and effective at stopping the spread of fire. It has passed flame-retardant standards in multiple countries, including the UK, USA, and France.
  • Multi-functional: In addition to blackout and flame retardancy, the fabric is also UV-resistant and soundproof, enhancing its practical value.

Inherently flame resistant fabrics are made from fibers that naturally resist flames, such as aramid or modacrylic. Their flame resistance cannot be washed out. Treated flame retardant fabrics are typically cotton or cotton blends treated with chemicals like Proban or THPC to provide flame resistance, which may reduce after many washes unless permanently treated.
