What Is IFR + Anti-Scratch Fabric?
IFR + Anti-Scratch Fabric combines flame retardant performance with improved resistance to scratching, rubbing, and daily surface wear.
It is especially useful for upholstery and other textiles exposed to frequent contact.
Where Is Anti-Scratch Fabric Used?
Typical applications include sofas, chairs, hotel furniture, public seating, transport interiors, cushions, and other commercial upholstery.
It is suitable for projects where appearance and surface durability need to be maintained over repeated use.
Anti-Scratch vs. Wear-Resistant Fabric
Anti-Scratch focuses more on visible surface damage, while Wear-Resistant focuses on long-term abrasion and repeated rubbing.
For commercial upholstery, both properties are useful and should be evaluated separately.
Fire Standards for Anti-Scratch Fabric
Depending on the selected product, applicable standards can include BS 5852 Crib 5, CAL TB 117, EN 1021-1/2, IMO FTP Code Part 8, JIS L 1091, and UNI 9177.
