Insulation Fabrics for High-Temperature Use
BEGOODTEX Insulation Materials mainly include Fiberglass, High-Silica Fiberglass, Oxidized PAN, Aramid, and Polyimide for industrial thermal protection.
Typical applications include pipe insulation, equipment insulation, wall lining, fire barriers, thermal jackets, and structural heat protection.
Fiberglass, Aramid or Oxidized PAN?
Fiberglass is widely used for fixed insulation and fire barriers, while High-Silica Fiberglass is suitable for more severe high-temperature environments. Selected BEGOODTEX high-silica fabric is specified for continuous insulation use around 1000°C.
Aramid and Oxidized PAN provide greater textile flexibility and are useful when insulation materials need to combine heat resistance with strength or easier fabrication.
Fire Standards for Insulation Materials
Applicable standards depend on the material and final system. Selected BEGOODTEX insulation fabrics can support standards such as EN 13501-1, EN ISO 11611, EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 14116, FAR 25.853, and NFPA 2112, depending on the product.
For insulation projects, buyers should also confirm the continuous-use temperature, thermal exposure, coating, thickness, and final installation structure rather than relying only on a flame-retardant rating.
