Shiny Fabric vs. Satin Fabric

Both fabrics can reflect light, but their visual effects are different. Satin Fabric is characterized by a smooth surface and more continuous, elegant sheen created by its fabric structure. Shiny Fabric places greater emphasis on decorative reflection and visual impact. Depending on the construction, the surface may be smooth or textured, making it especially suitable for events, backdrops, and environments where lighting is part of the design.

Shiny Fabric for Event and Banquet Decoration

Shiny fabric works particularly well in spaces where lighting can interact with the textile surface. Typical applications include tablecloths, table skirts, banquet decoration, event backdrops, stage decoration, exhibition displays, and decorative drapery. BEGOODTEX's Shining Premier Fabric is offered in a wide range of colors for event decoration, while Shining Slubbed Fabric adds more irregular texture and visual depth.

Smooth Shiny or Shiny Slubbed Fabric?

Choose according to the desired surface effect. Smooth shiny fabric provides a cleaner and more uniform reflective appearance, making it suitable for formal events and large decorative surfaces. Shiny slubbed fabric combines sheen with irregular slub texture, creating more variation in highlights and shadows. It is useful when the project requires a more textured and natural decorative appearance. Wide-width constructions can also help reduce seams in large backdrops and event installations. BEGOODTEX currently offers Shiny Fabric in widths up to 320 cm.

What Flame Retardant Standards Can Shiny Fabric Meet?

Depending on the selected fabric, BEGOODTEX flame retardant Shiny Fabric can support standards including NFPA 701, CA Title 19, CAN/ULC-S109-14, EN 13501-1, EN 13773 Class 1, GOST R 50810-95, IMO FTPC Part 7, JIS L 1091, and UNI 9177. The applicable standard and corresponding test report should be confirmed for the specific fabric and final application before ordering.
